Matt is a Deputy Sheriff  with the Allen County Ohio Sheriff’s Office. He is a Midnight shift Sargent and is also a K-9 Trainer. Matt works a Patrol/ Explosives detection K-9 for Allen County Sheriff’s Office. Matt is also is Deputy Commander of the Allen County Regional Bomb Squad and is a Certified Bomb Tech with the FBI.  He is a former Police Officer for Cridersville, Ohio Police Dept. and Cadaver K-9 handler. Matt has 3 daughters and 1 son who love spending time with the dogs as well.

In January 2024 Matt and his wife Amy will assume day to day operations of Von der haus Gill German Shepherds Inc.
